How to Enable TikTok LIVE

Turn on LIVE once your account qualifies. Here is how to start a broadcast, plus what to do if the LIVE button isn’t showing yet.

Going live on TikTok is gated by eligibility — mainly follower count and a minimum age — and it is a creator feature tied to the account, not something you delegate through Business Center. Once your account qualifies, LIVE appears as an option when you create. If it does not show up, it is almost always an eligibility gate rather than a setting you missed.

If your situation is actually …

Before you start

  • You are the account owner

LIVE is a creator feature bound to the account; it is not delegable through Business Center.

  • Your account meets the LIVE bar

Follower count and a minimum age are the main gates. If LIVE is missing, this is usually why.

Verify: Try to create and look for a LIVE option; if it is absent, check the requirements.

  • Your account is in good standing

Restrictions can remove access to LIVE.

Start a LIVE broadcast

  1. Open the create screen

In the TikTok app, tap to create a new post.

    Where: TikTok app → create

  2. Select the LIVE option

Among the create modes, choose LIVE. If you qualify, it appears alongside the other options.

If this fails: TikTok LIVE requirements

  3. Set up and go live

Add a title, choose your settings, and start the broadcast.

Confirm: Your broadcast goes live and viewers can join.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly

Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.

Delvia is free on iPhone and Android. Keep a clear record of who has access to your accounts — and what to do when that changes — wherever you are.
