How to Request Access to a TikTok Business Center
Request access to accounts and assets inside someone else's TikTok Business Center without needing their login.
Is this your situation?
You need to manage an ad account or asset that lives inside a Business Center you do not admin. You want the right role without asking anyone to share a password.
The short answer
A Business Center admin can request access to an ad account in Business Center. An email notification is sent to the ad account owner asking for approval after an access request is submitted.
Before you start
- Confirm admin access A user must be a Business Center admin to request access to ad accounts.Verify: Check your role under Users in your Business Center.
- Have the ad account ID You must enter the ad account ID when requesting access.Verify: Ask the account owner for the ID before starting.
- Confirm the account is approved A user cannot request access to a disapproved ad account.Verify: Check the account status with its owner.
- Decide the access level needed Analyst access allows viewing ads and performance data only.Verify: Match the level to the work you need to do.
How TikTok handles this

- Admin access that can be requested allows managing ad account finances, settings, and permissions.
- Operator access that can be requested allows managing finances for ad accounts.
- Once a request is approved, the requester can grant others access to that ad account from their Business Center.

Common mistakes
- Requesting without admin access A user must be a Business Center admin to request access to ad accounts. Why it happens: Standard members try to request access directly.
- Requesting a disapproved account A user cannot request access to a disapproved ad account. Why it happens: The requester did not check account status beforehand.
- No reply from the owner If a Business Center created the ad account, the requester must ask an ad account admin to accept the request in TikTok Ads Manager. Why it happens: The approval sits unseen in the owner's notifications.Already happened: See TikTok Business Center Invite Not Working for stalled requests.
- Individual-owned ad account If an individual created the ad account and belongs to no Business Center, the requester must ask that creator to accept the request. Why it happens: The requester assumes every ad account belongs to a Business Center.
