How to delete a TikTok Business Center

Deletion is not available by self-service: TikTok handles account and asset closure through removal and unlinking steps instead.

Is this your situation?

You want to delete a Business Center or ad account, and the option will not work. You are looking for the step that closes it down entirely.

The short answer

You want to delete a Business Center and find no direct option for it. Instead, use the Remove Company feature, which removes the need to disconnect each Business Center and asset one by one.

Before you start

  • Confirm your role You must be an Admin for the current Business Center to remove a partner.Verify: Check your role under Users in Business Center.
  • Identify what is linked You want to close out TikTok accounts, ad accounts, and partners still connected.Verify: Review the Partners and Accounts tabs for active connections.
  • Check ad account ownership Only the ad account owner can remove a Business Center's access to that ad account.Verify: Check who owns the ad account before attempting removal.

How TikTok handles this

  • Removing a TikTok account from Business Center revokes all permissions, including those for advertising and account management.
  • Organization Accounts cannot be removed from a Business Center.
  • Removing a Company severs all connections with a parent company and its associated Business Centers and assets in a single action.
  • Once an ad account shared by a partner is removed, all assets linked to it will be unlinked.

Step by step

  1. Log in to Business Center Log in to your TikTok Business Center account first.Confirm: Check that the dashboard has loaded.
  2. Open Accounts Click Accounts in the left-hand menu.Confirm: Check that the Accounts menu has expanded.
  3. Open TikTok accounts Click TikTok accounts after clicking Accounts.Confirm: Check that the linked accounts list is visible.
  4. Find the account Find the TikTok account to remove in the TikTok account list.Confirm: Check the list for the account name you want to remove.
  5. Unlink the account Click the Unlink account button in the top right of the account details page.Confirm: The TikTok account no longer appears in the Business Center's list of TikTok accounts.
  6. Remove an ad account instead Only the ad account owner can remove a Business Center's access to that ad account.Confirm: You want to remove an ad account, not a TikTok account.
  7. Remove access from Ads Manager Log in to the TikTok Ads Manager account.Confirm: Check for the Confirm button after clicking Remove access.

Common mistakes

  • Trying to delete an Organization Account Organization Accounts cannot be removed from a Business Center. Why it happens: Organization Accounts are a type created within and owned by the Business Center.
  • Trying to remove an ad account you do not own Only the ad account owner can remove a Business Center's access to that ad account. Why it happens: You assume your Business Center role lets you remove an account you did not create.Already happened: If this already happened, check who owns the ad account.
  • Assuming removed partners keep visibility Removed partners will not be able to view or manage any ad accounts or resources tied to the Business Center. Why it happens: You expect to see the removed partner still listed somewhere after confirming the removal.
