How to remove a TikTok Shop user

Remove a user's Seller Center access without changing the shop's ownership.

Is this your situation?

A team member left, or no longer needs Seller Center access, and you want their permissions gone. As the shop owner, you can edit, deactivate, or delete that user.

The short answer

Only the shop owner account user can assign and customize roles in User Management. Delete them if they no longer work for the shop.

Before you start

  • Confirm you are the owner account Only the shop owner account can add users in User Management.Verify: Check that you are logged in as the owner account.
  • Decide deactivate or delete A user can be deleted if they no longer work for the shop.Verify: Check the user's role under the Added User tab.
  • Check their current roles A user can be assigned more than one role at a time.Verify: Check the roles listed next to the user's name.

How TikTok handles this

  • Deactivating a user suspends their access to the Seller Center.
  • A deactivated user's status shows as Deactivated.
  • A deactivated user can be activated again at any time.
  • A user can be deleted if they no longer work for the shop.

Step by step

  1. Open User Management Go to Seller Center, Account Settings, then User Management.Where: Seller Center → My Account → Account Settings → User ManagementConfirm: Check for the Added User tab.
  2. Find the user Under the Added User tab, view all users added to the shop.Where: User Management → Added User tabConfirm: Check the user's name and current role in the list.
  3. Edit roles if needed Editing a user allows you to add or reduce that user's roles.Where: User list → action column → edit iconConfirm: Check the role list shown for that user.
  4. Deactivate the user Deactivating a user suspends their access to the Seller Center.Where: User list → action column → deactivate iconConfirm: A deactivated user's status shows as Deactivated.
  5. Or delete the user Clicking the delete icon in the action column deletes a user.Where: User list → action column → delete iconConfirm: Check the Added User tab for the user's name.If this fails: Check that you are logged in as the owner account.
  6. Verify access is gone Once deleted, that user cannot use the account or password to log in.Where: TikTok Shop Seller Center → LoginConfirm: Check with the former user that login is refused.
  7. Reactivate if needed A deactivated user may be activated again as needed.Where: User list → action column → activate iconConfirm: Check the user's status changes from Deactivated.

Common mistakes

  • Deleting instead of deactivating Once a user is deleted, that user cannot use the account or password to log in to the TikTok Shop Seller Center. Why it happens: The owner picks delete when a temporary pause was intended.
  • Trying to remove a user as a non-owner Only the shop owner account can add users in User Management. Why it happens: A sub-account attempts the removal without owner access.
  • Assuming deactivation removes the role record A deactivated user can be activated again at any time. Why it happens: The owner expects deactivation to erase the user entry.Already happened: If access remains visible, review who has access to your Shop.

Keeping track of who has access

After removing a user, the app is where you track who still has access to your TikTok Shop. Delvia keeps that record current as people join and leave your team.
