Common mistakes

  • Assigning before adding the member Permissions cannot be set for someone who is not yet a member of the Business Center. Why it happens: The admin skips the add-member step and goes straight to permissions.
  • Expecting Standard members to self-assign Standard members can only view and access what they are assigned to.Why it happens: A Standard member is mistaken for having Admin-level reach.
  • Picking the wrong access level Access levels vary by account or asset type and are not interchangeable. Why it happens: The admin reuses one access level across different asset types.Already happened: If a member has too much or too little access, review who has access.
  • Trying to assign without Admin access Only TikTok Business Center admins can assign account or asset level permissions. Why it happens: A Standard member attempts a task reserved for admins.
