How TikTok Agency Access Works
Agencies get into your TikTok as a Partner Business Center — not by taking your login. Here is how partner access works and why it keeps you in control.
When an agency runs your TikTok, the right way to bring them in is as a Partner: you connect their Business Center to yours and grant them access to specific assets. They work from their own Business Center, you keep yours, and you can sever the connection in a click. Crucially, partner access is operational — it never transfers ownership of your account, ad account, or Shop.
How partner access works
Inside Business Center there is a Partners area. You add the agency’s Business Center as a partner and grant them access to chosen assets — say, your ad account and one TikTok account. Their team then works on those assets through their own Business Center, using their own logins.
This keeps a clean line between you and them. Your assets stay in your Business Center; the agency simply has access to them. When the engagement ends, you remove the partner connection and their access disappears, without you having to change a single password.
Access is not ownership
The most important thing to hold on to: adding an agency as a partner gives them operational access, not ownership. They can run campaigns and post on the assets you assign, but they cannot take the account’s login or claim the assets as theirs — provided the assets live in your Business Center, not theirs.
The danger case is the reverse: when an agency creates your ad account or Shop inside their own Business Center. Then they hold the assets and merely grant you access, which is the wrong way round. The safe arrangement is always that you own the Business Center and the agency is your partner.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly
Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.
