Fix something that broke

An invite never arrived, a change did not stick, or the permissions screen looks wrong — diagnose it here.

Work out which surface the access lives in

TikTok spreads access across separate surfaces, and most "it is not working" problems are really "you are looking in the wrong one". Business Center holds your assets and the people who work in them; Ads Manager is where campaigns run; Shop Seller Center governs the Shop. A role in one does not carry into another, so someone can be an Admin in Business Center and still have no access to a specific ad account or the Shop until it is assigned.

Keep the key distinction in view: operational access to an asset is never the same as owning it, and it never involves the account password. If a permission seems missing, confirm which surface it belongs to and whether the specific asset was assigned to the person, not just the Business Center in general.

TikTok access problems — common questions

Being a member of Business Center is not the same as being assigned a specific asset. Open the ad account (or Shop) and assign that person to it with the right role. Membership grants entry to the Business Center; asset assignment grants access to the individual asset.
