Troubleshooting
LinkedIn Showcase Page Missing From Admin List
Parent Page admin access does not carry over to a Showcase Page automatically.
Is this your situation?
You manage the parent Page but the Showcase Page is not in your admin list. That gap matches how Showcase Page access actually works, not a display error.
The short answer
Super admins of the parent Page are not automatically granted admin access to affiliated Showcase Pages, whether newly created or existing. Super admins on a Showcase Page can add additional page and paid media admins. You administer the parent Page and still do not see the Showcase Page in your list.
What you see, and why
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| The Showcase Page does not appear under your admin list. | Super admins of the parent Page are not automatically granted admin access to affiliated Showcase Pages, whether newly created or existing. |
| You cannot add yourself as an admin on the Showcase Page. | Super admins on a Showcase Page can add additional page and paid media admins. |
| No Pages are listed under My pages or Manage for this Showcase Page. | If no Pages are listed under My pages or Manage, the member currently does not have admin access to any Page. |
Check these first
- Check who created the Showcase Page. Super admin access is automatically granted to the creator of a Showcase Page.Verify: Ask who created the page if you were not the creator.
- Check whether you are following the Showcase Page. In some cases, a member may need to follow the Page before they can be added as an admin.Verify: Confirm your follow status on the Showcase Page.
- Check your admin list location. An admin can click the Me dropdown, then select any Page listed under Manage, to find admin access.Verify: Look under Manage for the Showcase Page name.
How LinkedIn handles this
- Parent Page super admins are not automatically granted admin access to affiliated Showcase Pages, whether newly created or existing.
- Super admins on a Showcase Page can add additional page and paid media admins.
- Only super admins can edit Showcase Pages, add or remove other admins, and post as the Page.
- Showcase Page super admins can add and remove other admins through their admin view.
Which path applies to you?
- Are you the creator of the Showcase Page? Super admin access is automatically granted to the creator of a Showcase Page.
- Is someone else already a super admin of the Showcase Page? Super admins on a Showcase Page can add additional page and paid media admins.
- Does no one currently hold admin access to the Showcase Page? A member can request admin access if no one on their team currently has access to the Page.
Step by step: finding the cause
- Confirm your parent Page role. Check your current admin role on the parent LinkedIn Page.Confirm: Check the Settings area of the parent Page for your listed role.
- Look for the Showcase Page in your Manage list. An admin can click the Me dropdown at the top of the homepage, then select any Page listed under Manage.Confirm: Check whether the Showcase Page name appears under Manage.
- Check the My pages list on your feed. An admin can go to the left pane of their feed and click on any Page listed under My pages.Confirm: Check the left pane of your feed for the Showcase Page name.
- Treat absence from both lists as no access. If no Pages are listed under My pages or Manage, the member currently does not have admin access to any Page.Confirm: Check both lists before concluding access is missing.
- Identify the Showcase Page creator or existing super admin. Super admin access is automatically granted to the creator of a Showcase Page.Confirm: Check with colleagues who may have created the page.
- Ask the super admin to add you. Super admins on a Showcase Page can add additional page and paid media admins.Confirm: Check the Showcase Page admin list after the request is made.
- Request access if no one holds it. A member can request admin access if no one on their team currently has access to the Page.Confirm: Check your notifications for a response to the request.
Common mistakes
- Assuming parent access covers the Showcase Page. Parent Page super admins are not automatically granted admin access to affiliated Showcase Pages. Why it happens: The parent-child naming suggests shared access that the platform does not provide.
- Trying to add yourself without being a Showcase Page super admin. Only super admins can edit Showcase Pages, add or remove other admins, and post as the Page. Why it happens: The add-admin option is unavailable to non-super-admins.
- Not checking who created the Showcase Page. Super admin access is automatically granted to the creator of a Showcase Page. Why it happens: The creator can be a colleague rather than the parent Page's current admin.
