When Someone Cannot Be Added to a Facebook Business Portfolio
See what blocks an invite and what to check before trying again.
Is this your situation?
You tried to add someone to your business portfolio and the invite will not go through. You want to know what is blocking it before you try again.
The short answer
You sent an invite and it did not go through, or you cannot find the option to add someone. Check both accounts and the email address before resubmitting.

- Your full control access Only people with full control of a business portfolio can add people to it.Verify: Check that you have full control of the business portfolio.
- Your email confirmation A user may need to confirm their email address first.Verify: Check whether your email address is confirmed.
- The entered email address The email address entered must match the person's Facebook account.Verify: Check the email against the person's account.

Common mistakes
- Entering a mismatched email The email address entered must match the person's Facebook account. Why it happens: You type the email you have on file instead of asking the person to confirm it.
- Missing full control A user without full control of a business portfolio may be unable to add people. Why it happens: You assume your current role covers this action.
- Unconfirmed email on the inviter's account A user may need to confirm their email address first. Why it happens: You overlook the confirmation email sent when you set up the account.
- A disabled or restricted account Neither the inviter nor the person being added can have a disabled or restricted account. Why it happens: You don't realize one of the two accounts is flagged until the invite fails.Already happened: If access was lost this way, see how to audit who has access.
