Two different things you might be recovering
On TikTok there is a clean split between recovering the account login and recovering operational access. The account login lives on the email or phone number on file — Forgot password sends a reset there, and whoever controls those contacts controls the account. Operational access to assets in TikTok Business Center, Ads Manager, or Shop Seller Center is a separate layer that never involves the account password; you recover it by having someone with Admin rights re-add you, not by resetting a login.
That split decides your route. If you cannot log in at all, this is an account-login problem. If you can log in but can no longer reach an ad account, a Shop, or a Business Center, that is an access problem — and if you were the only Admin, it becomes a support escalation rather than a self-serve fix.
