LinkedIn Campaign Manager Ad Account Missing or Can't Create Ads

Why your ad account disappears from Campaign Manager, and why the Create ad button can stay locked

Is this your situation?

You open Campaign Manager and the ad account you normally use is not in the list. You can see the account but the option to create ads will not work.

The short answer

You opened Campaign Manager and cannot find the ad account, or see it but cannot create ads. If an organization does not use Business Manager, a user can click a link to view all ad accounts associated with their LinkedIn profile. If an organization uses Business Manager, a user can select their personal profile or the Business Manager that owns the account.

What you see, and why

SymptomCause
The ad account is missing from your account list.Confirming the correct Business Manager is selected may be required.
You are not added as a user on the account. You may need to confirm with a colleague or partner that you have been added as a user.
You see the account but cannot create ads.A user must be a super admin, content admin, or Sponsored Content poster on the associated Page.

Check these first

  • Check which Business Manager you are viewing.Verify: Check the name in the menu on the left side of the page.

How LinkedIn handles this

  • Certain actions in Campaign Manager need additional permissions from the LinkedIn Page associated with the ad account.
  • A super admin or content admin Page role can create ads.
  • A Sponsored Content poster Page role can create ads.
  • If a user does not have access to an ad account, the user can create a new one.
