LinkedIn Admin Access Change Not Working

A role change on a LinkedIn Page does not always show the way you expect it to.

Is this your situation?

You changed an admin's role or removed someone from a LinkedIn Page, but the Permissions list still shows the old state. You want to know whether the change actually took effect before you try it again.

The short answer

The change may have worked even if the screen has not caught up yet. Each Page must have at least one super admin when making changes to admin roles. A super admin cannot be removed if they are the last super admin on the Page.

  • To edit a Page admin's role, the first step is to go to the Page super admin view, and the fifth step is to click the Edit icon.
