How to remove a partner's access to your Instagram
Ending work with an agency or partner? Here is how to remove their access to your Instagram in Meta business settings so only the right people can manage it.
Removing a partner is the payoff of doing access right: because you never shared a password, offboarding is a clean removal in Meta Business settings, not a panic reset. Remove the partner connection, then double-check that no individual people they assigned, and no leftover admin or Page access, were left behind.
Before you start
Admin access to your portfolio
Only admins can remove partners.
Knowledge of what the partner had
Note which assets and tasks they held so you can confirm each is gone.
Remove a partner
Open Partners
Meta Business settings → Partners, as an admin.
Where: Meta Business settings → Partners
Select the partner and remove
Open the partner business and remove their access to your Instagram (or remove the partner entirely).
Check for leftover individual access
Removing a partner does not always remove people they assigned. Review People for anyone still attached.
Where: Meta Business settings → People
If this fails: Agency still has access
Review the connected Page and admins
Make sure no Page-level admin route still grants them access.
Removal mistakes
Removing the partner but missing assigned people
People the partner added can linger after the partner link is gone. Audit individuals too.
Already happened: Agency still has access after offboarding
Forgetting the connected Page
Page-level admin access can be a back door. Review the Page when offboarding.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly
Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.
