How to Add a User to TikTok Shop
Invite staff to your TikTok Shop in Seller Center and give them the right role. Here is how to add a user without handing over the Shop login.
TikTok Shop runs from Seller Center, which has its own login and its own staff system, separate from Business Center and from your TikTok app account. To bring in a teammate you add them as a staff member in Seller Center and give them a scoped role, so they get only the parts of the Shop they need — orders, products, finance, and so on. As everywhere on TikTok, you invite the person rather than sharing the Shop password.
If your situation is actually …
- You are bringing in a service provider, not staff → Add a partner to TikTok Shop →
- You need to remove a staff member → Remove a TikTok Shop user →
- The new user cannot log in → Can’t log in to Seller Center →
Before you start
You can manage staff in Seller Center
You need an owner or admin-level Seller Center account that can add staff and set roles.
The person has, or can create, a Seller Center login
Seller Center access is separate from the TikTok app, so they may need to set up access there.
You know which scope they need
Decide which parts of the Shop the role should cover before you invite, so you grant the minimum.
Add a staff member to your TikTok Shop
Open the staff or account management area
Sign in to Seller Center and find the area for managing staff accounts and their permissions.
Where: TikTok Shop Seller Center → account / staff management
Invite the new staff member
Add a staff account using the person’s details so they receive an invitation to join.
Where: TikTok Shop Seller Center → staff → add staff
If this fails: Shop access not working
Set their role and scope
Choose the role and the parts of the Shop it covers — for example orders and customer service, but not finance — so the person gets only what they need.
Have them sign in and confirm
The person signs in to Seller Center and confirms they can reach the areas you assigned.
Confirm: They appear in the staff list with their role, and can open the Shop sections you granted.
Common mistakes
Sharing one Seller Center login across the team
A shared Shop login mixes everyone’s actions together and forces a password change to remove anyone. Staff accounts exist to avoid this.
Why it happens: A single login feels simpler than setting up staff.
Already happened: Keep TikTok Shop access under control
Giving finance access to everyone
The Shop touches money and payouts, so finance scope should be tightly held.
Why it happens: Broad roles are quicker to set up.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly
Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.
