How to Convert a LinkedIn Showcase Page to a Company Page
Convert your Showcase Page to a Company Page through LinkedIn support, not a self-serve setting.
Is this your situation?
Your Showcase Page cannot be added to staff experience and you want it recognized as a Company Page. You are considering converting it, and want to know what changes for admins, followers, and posts.
The short answer
A super admin of both the parent Page and the Showcase Page must contact LinkedIn support to convert it. Page conversions are irreversible.
Before you start
- Confirm super admin status A super admin of both the parent Page and the Showcase Page can contact LinkedIn support to convert it.Verify: Check Manage admins on both pages for your name as super admin.
- Accept the URL change The only URL change is 'showcase' being replaced with 'company'.Verify: Check the current Showcase Page URL for the word 'showcase'.
- Confirm parent Page affiliation plans The converted Company Page will no longer appear as affiliated with the parent Page unless otherwise requested.Verify: Check whether you want to request continued affiliation.
How LinkedIn handles this
- When a Page is converted, the original Page no longer exists.
- A converted Page cannot be reverted to its original Page type.
- Admins of the converted Showcase Page will have the same admin permissions on the new Company Page.
- Followers and shared or sponsored posts will be migrated to the new Company Page.
Step by step
- Confirm eligibility Requesting the conversion requires being the rightful super admin of the Showcase Page to be converted.Confirm: Check Manage admins for your super admin role.
- Verify authorization Confirm you are authorized to act on behalf of the organization regarding the conversion.Confirm: Check your role matches the organization's authorization expectations.
- Acknowledge irreversibility Acknowledge that the conversion is irreversible and LinkedIn can't retrieve data once it occurs.Confirm: Check that you accept this before contacting support.
- Contact LinkedIn support Contact LinkedIn support with the Page name exactly as it appears, the Page URL, the conversion type, and the reason for conversion.Confirm: Check your message includes all four details.
- State affiliation preference State whether you'd like the Pages to remain affiliated after the conversion.Confirm: Check your request states an affiliation preference.
- Wait for the URL change The only URL change is the replacement of 'showcase' with 'company'.Confirm: Check the new Page URL for 'company' in place of 'showcase'.
- Review admin permissions Admins of the converted Showcase Page will have the same admin permissions on the new Company Page.Confirm: Check Manage admins on the new Company Page.
- Review followers and posts Followers and shared or sponsored posts will be migrated to the new Company Page.Confirm: Check follower count and post history on the new Page.
- Update the cover image The existing cover image might need to be updated.Confirm: Check the cover image displays as intended.
Before you change who is in control
- Missing super admin on one page Requesting a Page conversion requires being the rightful super admin of the Page to be converted. Why it happens: Super admin access was never confirmed on both pages before the request.Already happened: If control has already changed hands — Recover a Deactivated or Removed LinkedIn Company Page
- Assuming reversal is possible A converted Page cannot be reverted to its original Page type. Why it happens: Conversions are treated as irreversible once processed.
- Losing parent affiliation unexpectedly The new Company Page will no longer appear affiliated with the parent Page unless otherwise requested. Why it happens: The affiliation preference was not stated in the support request.Already happened: If affiliation was dropped, review how ownership works on a LinkedIn Company Page.
