Your Instagram account isn't showing in Meta Business Suite

Your Instagram is missing from Meta Business Suite. Visibility depends on a professional account, the connected Page, and portfolio assignment — here is what to check.

Instagram appears in Meta Business Suite only when three things line up: the account is professional, it is connected to a Facebook Page, and that Page (or the account) is assigned to the Business Portfolio you are looking in. If any one is off, the account simply will not show. Because Instagram has no in-app roles, this is almost always a connection or assignment gap, not a permission you are missing on the account itself.

Quick summary

You want the account visible in Business Suite, but it is not there. This is almost always a missing professional switch, a missing Page connection, or the account being assigned to a different portfolio than the one you are viewing.

Most common causes

  • The Instagram account is still personal, not professional
  • It is not connected to a Facebook Page
  • It is assigned to a different Business Portfolio
  • You are signed into the wrong portfolio or business account

Quick checks

  • Confirm the account is professional
  • Confirm it is connected to a Facebook Page
  • Confirm which portfolio you are actually viewing

Symptom / cause

Visibility is a chain — find the link that is broken.

If it shows under a business that is not yours, that is a portfolio assignment issue — not a Business Suite bug.

Restore visibility

  1. Confirm a professional account

Business Suite only manages professional accounts. Switch the account from personal if needed.

Where: Instagram app → Settings → Account type and tools

  2. Confirm the Page connection

Make sure the account is connected to a Facebook Page — Business Suite visibility hangs on the connected Page.

Where: Instagram app → Settings → connected accounts

  3. Check portfolio assignment

In Business Suite, confirm the Page or Instagram account is assigned to the portfolio you are viewing. If it is in another portfolio, you must view or move it there.

    Where: business.facebook.com → Settings → Accounts

Confirm: The Instagram account appears in the portfolio's asset list.

Frequently asked questions

Most often the account is still personal, has no connected Facebook Page, or is assigned to a different Business Portfolio than the one you are viewing. Check those three in order.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly

Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.

Delvia is free on iPhone and Android. Keep a clear record of who has access to your accounts — and what to do when that changes — wherever you are.
