Common mistakes
- Assigning before adding the asset You need to add the business assets to your business portfolio before you can assign access. Why it happens: You expect to assign an asset that is not yet in the portfolio.
- Over-assigning permissions Assign only the level of access people need to complete their work. Why it happens: Granting broad access feels faster than selecting specific permissions.
- Expecting full control on a partner-shared asset Being limited to a partner's assigned permissions may prevent you from giving someone full control of that particular business asset. Why it happens: You assume you can grant any level of access to a shared asset.Already happened: Review current access on the governance checklist for partner-shared assets.
