How to share YouTube analytics without showing revenue
The Viewer (Limited) role lets someone see your channel analytics — views, watch time, audience — without ever seeing what you earn.
YouTube has a built-in role for exactly this situation. Viewer (Limited) shows all analytics — watch time, impressions, click-through rate, audience demographics — but hides every revenue figure. You give the invite, they accept it, and the revenue tab simply does not appear for them.

- You want to share a public analytics report without any account access → Share analytics safely →
Before you start
Before you send the invite, confirm these three things.
You can open Settings → Permissions
The Permissions panel is in YouTube Studio on every channel — personal Google Account or Brand Account. If you don’t see it, you’re likely signed in below Manager level, or on the mobile app rather than desktop.
Verify: YouTube Studio → Settings → Permissions on desktop. If the panel opens and shows an Invite button, you’re good to go — Brand Account or not.
You know their exact Google Account email
YouTube sends the invite to one specific Google Account address. Plus-aliases (+tags) and group inboxes often do not work. Ask them to confirm the exact address they sign in to Google with.
Verify: Ask the person to open myaccount.google.com and read back the email address shown there.
You are signed in as an Owner or Manager
Editors and Viewers cannot invite anyone. You need at least Manager to send a permissions invite.
Verify: YouTube Studio → Settings → Permissions → check your own listed role.
How to give Viewer (Limited) access
The whole flow happens inside YouTube Studio. It takes about two minutes.
Open Permissions in YouTube Studio
Go to studio.youtube.com, then Settings (the cog icon in the left sidebar) → Permissions.
Where: YouTube Studio → Settings → Permissions
Confirm: You should see a list of people who already have access, and an "Invite" button.
Click Invite and enter their email address
Type the exact Google Account email. Do not use their display name or a + alias — only the precise address they use to sign in.
Where: YouTube Studio → Settings → Permissions → Invite
Confirm: The address appears in the invite field without a red error state.
Set the role to Viewer (Limited)
In the role dropdown, choose "Viewer (Limited)". This is the role that shows analytics but hides all revenue figures — including estimated revenue, RPM, and CPM.
Where: Role dropdown within the invite dialog
Confirm: The dropdown shows "Viewer (Limited)" selected before you send.
Send the invite
Click Done or Send. YouTube emails an invite to the address you entered. The person must open that email and click the accept link to activate their access.
Confirm: The Permissions list shows them as "Pending" until they accept.
If this fails: Invite not received
Confirm they can see analytics but not revenue
Once they accept, ask them to open YouTube Studio on the channel. They should see Analytics — but the Revenue tab and any monetisation figures should not appear for them.
Where: YouTube Studio → Analytics (their view)
Confirm: No Revenue tab visible; all other analytics sections are accessible.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly
Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.
