The short answer

Common mistakes
- Trying to remove a Lead Moderator as a non-owner Only the channel owner can add or remove the Lead Moderator role. Why it happens: The owner-only restriction applies to this role.
- Assuming VIP and moderator removal are the same action A user can only be either a VIP or a moderator, not both at the same time. Why it happens: The two roles are mutually exclusive on a channel.
- Not confirming the removal took effect You still see the person listed after removing them. Why it happens: You expect the change to appear right away and move on without checking.Already happened: If access remains, see removed moderator still has access.
