Instagram permissions through Business Suite
Once Instagram is connected to a Page in your portfolio, Page admins inherit Instagram permissions and you can assign task-based access to everyone else in Meta Business Suite.
With the connection in place, permissions flow from two sources. First, admins of the connected Facebook Page automatically inherit certain Instagram permissions. Second, you can assign anyone in the portfolio task-based access on the Instagram asset — content, messages, community activity, ads, or insights. Together these decide exactly who can do what, all managed in Meta Business Suite and never with the password.

How permissions get assigned
Add the person to the portfolio (as an admin or, more commonly, an employee with access to only their assigned assets), then assign them the Instagram account with the specific tasks they need. Grant the narrowest set that covers the work.
Remember the inheritance: connected-Page admins already have Instagram permissions without an explicit asset assignment, so when you review access, include the Page's admin list. And the ads permission usually needs separate Ad Account access — granting "ads" on the Instagram asset alone often is not enough.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly
Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.
