How Twitch handles this

- If the tax interview form has trouble accepting a legal name with accents or special characters, contact Twitch support.
- Being a Twitch Partner does not make a creator a 'partnership' for tax purposes.
- The name on the tax forms should agree with the name on the signed legal contract and payment information.

Common mistakes
- You enter a company name where the form wants an individual The name provided should be the individual or organization reporting the income. Why it happens: You see an owner name on the account and assume that is what the form wants.
- You assume Partner status changes your tax classification Being a Partner does not make a creator a 'partnership' for tax purposes. Why it happens: The program name and the tax entity term sound alike.
- You let mismatches reach payout setup Mismatches between Step 2 and the tax interview or payout setup are a common cause of onboarding issues. Why it happens: You fill in each step separately without comparing them first.Already happened: If this already caused a payout problem, see Twitch Support Isn't Helping After Self-Serve Steps Fail.
