How to revoke a TikTok Spark Ads code

Cancel a Spark Ads authorization so a brand can no longer run ads with your post. Here is how to revoke a code and what happens to live ads.

Because a Spark Ads authorization is something you grant, it is also something you can take back. You revoke it from the same post settings where you authorized it. Revoking stops the brand from starting new ads with that authorization; ads already running may keep going for a short time depending on how the campaign was set up, so revoke as soon as you decide to end it.

If your situation is actually …

Before you start

  • You authorized the post

You revoke from the same account that granted the authorization.

  • You know which post the code is tied to

Authorizations are per video, so revoke the one you mean to.

Revoke an authorization

  1. Open the authorized post’s settings

In the TikTok app or TikTok Studio, open the video and its ad authorization settings.

Where: TikTok app → your video → ad settings

  2. Turn off the authorization

Revoke or turn off the ad authorization for that post.

Confirm: The post no longer shows an active authorization.

  3. Confirm with the advertiser

Let the brand know the authorization has ended so they are not surprised when they cannot extend the ad.

Frequently asked questions

Revoking prevents new use of the authorization; an ad already running may continue briefly depending on the campaign. Revoke promptly to limit this.

Access issues are easier to prevent when roles, owners, and responsibilities are recorded clearly

Most access problems trace back to the same gap — no clear record of who has access, what role they hold, and what should happen when that changes. Delvia helps you keep that record so problems are visible before they become incidents.

Delvia is free on iPhone and Android. Keep a clear record of who has access to your accounts — and what to do when that changes — wherever you are.
